Blues at Orinda - Terrie Odabi

Terrie Odabi is a powerhouse soul blues artist from the San Francisco Bay Area, whose music is deeply influenced by legends like Mavis Staples and Etta James. In fact it has been written,

“Terrie Odabi is easily the most dynamic blues and soul woman to have emerged in the Bay Area since Etta James came out of San Francisco’s Fillmore District in the Fifties. Terrie has a powerful set of pipes, writes terrific tunes, leads a kicking band and has onstage movements that perfectly match the rhythms of her material. Surely stardom awaits her.”

-Lee Hildebrand, contributor to the *San Francisco Chronicle, *East Bay News Group and *Living Blues Magazine"

With two acclaimed CDs and six Blues Music Award nominations, Terrie has made her mark on the international stage as a touring artist. Known for her stirring vocals and commanding stage presence, she is also the leader of her powerhouse, soulful band.

Her highly anticipated 2025 release, recorded at Greaseland and produced by Kid Andersen, showcases her artistry with collaborations featuring DK Harrell and Jimmy Carpenter. Andersen, a celebrated producer and musician, also collaborated with Terrie on the album, adding to its rich sonic depth.

For Terrie, the stage is her happy place, and performing is her greatest passion. She strives to make her audience feel love and happiness during every performance, and she cherishes the opportunity to spread positive messages through her music. Terrie’s songwriting dives deep into the subjects she cares most about, infusing each song with personal conviction and a sense of purpose. As fans eagerly await her upcoming project, they can expect the same soul-stirring authenticity and artistry that have made Terrie a standout in the blues world.
