A premiere concert of World Music Series in Collaboration with X DOT 25 Music label of Emeryville - A Fusion Concert of Indian & Persian Music - Featuring Indian Sitar Maestro, Habib Khan, and special guest appearance by Persian Vocalist, Parisa Vaaleh.
Sitar maestro Habib Khan takes the stage with some of the Bay Area's finest world fusion musicians, carrying the deep roots of Indian raga into open conversation with world and jazz. Joining him for several pieces, Parisa Vaaleh's voice becomes an instrument in its own right - no lyrics, only pure vocal line riding the currents of the ensemble.
An evening not to be missed, as you will be lifted and carried on atmospheric notes.
