Broadway/TV actor (Les Misérables, The Gilded Age, Law & Order, The Equalizer) and cabaret star Lianne Marie Dobbs returns to her native Bay Area where her first professional credit at 15 years old was Dorothy in The Wizard Of Oz at Center Rep, followed by dozens of productions at TheatreWorks, A.C.T., and 42nd Street Moon. Lianne brings us her critically-acclaimed show, Why Can't A Woman...? featuring one of a kind piano & voice arrangements by renowned music director Ron Abel (Petula Clark, Helen Reddy, Lucie Arnaz). Linked together with passages from female authors and classic heroines, Lianne takes on Broadway leading men songs and sassy standards and serves them up with a twist of SHE.
